FACILITATORS & FACULTY
Our EAGL founders, Dr. Charlie Hall and Kip Creel, will direct a continually-evolving group of guest practitioners, facilitating and presenting specific course modules in their areas of expertise.
Dr. Charlie Hall grew up on a nursery in Western North Carolina. Although an economist by training, he is currently a Professor in the Department of Horticultural Sciences at the Texas A&M University and also holder of the Ellison Chair in International Floriculture. His major areas of specialization include innovative management and marketing strategies, financial analysis and benchmarking, and the situation/outlook for nursery and greenhouse crops. He is an invited speaker at numerous regional, national, and international meetings of various industry-related associations and organizations. He is particularly known for the enthusiasm, passion, and intensity he exhibits when speaking. Dr. Hall is an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Texas Nursery and Landscape Association and has received TNLA’s Award for Outstanding Service to the Nursery Industry. He is also a member of the Hall of Fame and Honorary Lifetime Member of the Tennessee Nursery and Landscape Association.
Kip Creel is the president and founder of StandPoint and has chief responsibility for business development, methodology and the firm’s strategic planning practice. Prior to founding StandPoint in 2002, Kip spent 8 years at another Atlanta-based market research firm in positions of increasing responsibility, including Director of Research and Vice President.
Previously, Kip worked for Medco Containment Services, a Division of Merck Pharmaceuticals, as a call center analyst, and for InfoQuest Clinical Network, a clinical research organization, in a business development role. Kip began his career at BellSouth. Kip is a frequent speaker at industry events including healthcare and home & garden and regularly writes articles and authors research reports.
Kip holds a bachelor’s of arts in organizational behavior and statistics and a master of business administration in marketing, both from the University of Florida.
Early on in the EAGL program development process, Kip & Charlie contracted with Kellee O’Reilly to join the team assisting in curriculum design, network facilitation and event logistics. Kellee is the Chief Experience Officer and Director of Doing at MonkeyBar Management, a boutique firm specializing in facilitation, change management, and event design.
Holding a degree in international business with an applied focus in peace and conflict resolution from American University in Washington, DC, Kellee has invested over two decades building the success of small businesses and nonprofit organizations in the US and Europe, including more than a dozen years working with the American Nursery & Landscape Association (a predecessor to AmericanHort).
In addition to serving as the unofficial “Den Mother” for event logistics for all programs under the EAGL umbrella, she helps guide EAGL brand strategy and interactive elements of the EAGL experience.
